Job summary

Global Medical Response seeks a Special Events EMT for Indianapolis Motor Speedway events. This seasonal, part-time role focuses on weekend events and uses EMT skills to provide urgent and non-urgent medical care at venues.

You will respond to medical requests, deliver patient care, document assessments, and stay aligned with SOPs and company policies while collaborating with event staff.

Qualifications

• Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age; some prior work experience in a health care system preferred
• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills; strong listening and comprehension abilities, adaptability to quickly evolving situations, and strong decision making
• Credentials/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, State EMT certification and CPR/BLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and deliver high quality patient care and customer service.
• Maintain familiarity with evolving medical treatment protocols, SOPs, and company policies.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with risk and safety policies and traffic laws.
• Perform shift checks and ensure ambulance readiness and on-board equipment.
• Document patient assessments, treatment, and billing information accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatch, and facility staff.
• Assist with on-site coordination and support during events.
