Job description

Join us—to grow your career and be recognized as one of the best and brightest experts in the partner community. We are seeking a Events Operations Manager to join our events team. In this role, you will execute and ensure all logistics for our client’s Sales Meeting are carried out according to plan. The ideal candidate is someone who is detailed, resourceful, possesses excellent problem-solving skills and has a sound understanding of all functional areas of the event. This is a full-time position with benefits, for a remote worker within the US.

What you will be doing:

  1. Program Management: Build and lead program management processes and protocols to identify and supervise program requirements, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
  2. Operations Planning: Design and implement the operations plan for our flagship sales kickoff event including comprehensive strategy, resource and contingency planning, future year contracting, transportation, food and beverage, health and safety, ESG, accommodations, security, and space.
  3. Lead operations support team on point for all Operations components.
  4. Event Execution: Coordinate and lead onsite event operations and team.
  5. Administration: Coordinate and maintain program tools and resources (Smartsheet, Webex).
  6. Reporting: Track operational KPI’s and ensure alignment with broader team and company goals.
  7. Budgeting: Assist in managing budget requirements and accountability.
  8. Work across event work stream leadership to provide operations expertise.

What you bring:

  1. Proven experience in event operations with direct event production on large-scale, quality events within the high-tech industry (Required).
  2. 3+ years in formal program or project management with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, team members, and events simultaneously. Experience with project estimates and resourcing plans.
  3. In-depth experience in event strategy and planning, and budget and timeline management.
  4. Skilled at understanding and proposing high-level goals and visualizing how best to create and implement processes to achieve those goals.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and influence. Ability to hold internal and external teams accountable to results according to production timeline and program objectives.
  6. Outstanding communications skills; Excel and Smartsheet whiz; able to distill high complexity into compelling simplicity in a single bound; able to communicate effectively with multiple levels of management.
  7. Highly organized; desire to lead the pace of change; outstanding attention to detail; outcome focused and target driven.
  8. Ability to multi-task, put out fires and prioritize. Ability to keep calm in high pressure circumstances.
  9. Established experience with business tools and processes including budget planning, submitting and handling PO’s and SOW’s, and quarterly business reporting.
  10. Willingness to go above and beyond, flexible with travel.
  11. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Formal training and/or certificate in Project or Program Management.
