Job summary

City of Greer is seeking a skilled Event Operations Supervisor to deliver exceptional post-booking services and daily venue excellence. You will lead on-site events, manage part-time staff, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and client satisfaction throughout all phases of events.

The role requires coordinating with promoters and renters, overseeing third-party rentals, and maintaining an organized facility with compliant operations. Evening and weekend hours are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field.
• Three (3) years leadership experience in event management within a stadium, arena, or multi-purpose public assembly facility.
• Proven supervisory experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
• Must be flexible to evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site event execution, ensuring standards from start to finish.
• Direct and oversee activities of part-time event staff.
• Oversee staff training and discipline to maintain high-functioning team.
• Schedule personnel for setup, operations, and teardown.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and safety; coordinate with vendors.
• Supervise live events to maintain a pristine environment without interrupting flow.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Consult with promoters and renters for setup requirements.
• Ensure client satisfaction and responsive host support during events.
