Job description

Location: Suwanee, GA area | Reports to: Head of Marketing, Americas

About Geek+

Geek+ is a global leader in mobile robotics and intelligent warehouse automation, helping retailers, manufacturers, and logistics providers build more flexible, resilient supply chains.

The Role

The Marketing Events Manager owns Geek+'s North America event program end to end. In a typical year, this includes:

  • 13–16 trade shows where Geek+ exhibits — owned start to finish
  • 10–15 trade shows we participate in through partners, associations, or speaking engagements — coordination and speaker support
  • ~10 regional events — customer appreciation events and site tours, delivered from a repeatable playbook

This is an individual contributor role without direct reports. The position combines program ownership — calendar, budget, and vendor relationships — with direct execution, including onsite setup and support at priority shows. Success in the role depends on strong prioritization, well-built templates, and close partnership with sales, product, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

Program ownership

  • Build and own the annual North America event calendar, recommending where to invest based on pipeline, brand, and product-launch goals.
  • Own the event budget: forecast spend, track against plan, process POs and invoices, and reconcile with finance.
  • Define success metrics by event type and report results — attendance, leads, pipeline contribution, cost per lead — to marketing leadership and sales.

Exhibiting trade shows (13–16 per year)

  • Lead end-to-end delivery: venue and vendor sourcing, exhibit design direction, freight and drayage, hotel blocks, staffing plans, and onsite setup and teardown.
  • Partner with product and technical teams to plan safe, reliable robotics demonstrations, owning logistics and run-of-show.
  • Align with sales on audience targeting, booth staffing, lead capture, and post-event follow-up.

Partner, association, and speaking events (10–15 per year)

  • Coordinate Geek+'s presence: submission deadlines, speaker logistics, session materials, co-branded assets, and partner communication.
  • Maintain an efficient approach that delivers consistent presence without full trade show overhead.

Regional events (~10 per year)

  • Deliver customer appreciation events and site tours from a standardized playbook: invitations, venue or facility coordination, catering, agenda, and follow-up.

Process and scale

  • Build and maintain playbooks, checklists, vendor lists, and templates to improve consistency and efficiency across the program.
Required Qualifications
  • 5–7 years in event marketing, trade show operations, or field marketing, including at least 3 years owning B2B trade shows end to end.
  • Experience managing a high-volume event calendar; comfort operating across 30+ events annually.
  • Demonstrated budget ownership, including forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage overlapping timelines and anticipate issues early.
  • Comfortable with hands-on onsite execution, including extended show days, standing for long periods, and light lifting (up to approximately 30 lbs).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication, with the ability to brief sales teams and executives clearly.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in robotics, logistics, supply chain, or industrial technology.
  • Experience with live technology or equipment demonstrations, and with booth sizes ranging from 10x10 to island builds.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Cvent, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working across time zones with a global headquarters team.
