The Calling:

The Event Marketing Manager will be an integral part of our marketing teams, owning the strategy for large-scale and regional education industry conferences and events, as well as marketing webinars, the MTSS Summit, and other sales-hosted events, ensuring a top-notch experience for participants, driving leads, and reflecting a great brand experience. This person will own the whole function of event management, from strategic conference selection to on-the-ground execution, including collaborating on content creation, leading lead generation for participation, and tracking and analyzing data to identify event impact.

Reporting to the Sr. Demand Generation Manager, this individual will work closely with the sales team to plan and optimize 15-20 events per quarter and work with the marketing team on the annual MTSS Summit. This requires great communication and collaboration skills to align priorities across teams, along with exceptional organization and prioritization to manage overlapping timelines without dropping details. All events are intended to drive pipeline, increase revenue, and meet team and company goals. This position is fully remote and will mostly support the planning and execution of events from afar/behind-the-scenes, but may require occasional travel for onsite coordination.

Core responsibilities will include researching, evaluating, and recommending the right education industry conferences and events to prioritize for maximum ROI; managing event timing and logistics across multiple events simultaneously; collaborating with marketing on promotional strategies, including creation of web and registration content, email marketing, and social media; and tracking and managing leads generated through event participation.

What You Will Achieve:
  • Lead the overarching event strategy in partnership with sales leadership, researching, evaluating, and recommending the right large-scale and regional education industry conferences and events to prioritize for maximum ROI through thoughtful selection, resourcing, budget management, and performance evaluation.
  • Manage logistics and deadlines across multiple events simultaneously, including proposal submissions, venue and vendor coordination, conference registrations, and promotion and follow-up tasks, while continually assessing and improving event management processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align on event strategy, coordinate on-site logistics, and ensure they are set up for success at each event, while partnering with customer success, leadership, partnerships, and learning sciences to deliver exceptional experiences for customers and prospects that support relationship-building and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team on event communications and promotional strategy, including web page creation and management, invites, lead nurturing emails and automation, list maintenance and segmentation, print collateral and swag, and correspondence with event presenters and participants, while supporting virtual events such as webinars and the MTSS Summit to ensure brand visibility, strong user experience, and effective lead generation.
  • Track and manage leads generated through event participation, maintaining a calendar of sales-hosted and attended events, marketing-hosted events, and thought leadership conferences to consistently evaluate and refine performance across all event types.
Why We Want You:
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale education industry conferences and events, with knowledge of the K-12/education industry landscape, including key conferences, trends, and audiences.
  • 4+ years of experience and demonstrated success with planning and promoting B2B events.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage tasks and deadlines across multiple projects at once.
  • Solid experience with CRM systems and marketing tools to manage and measure event activities, track leads, and analyze ROI.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience working with virtual event software (Zoom, Cvent, Hopin, etc.).
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, as well as work independently.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum design skills (using Canva or Adobe).
Lucky Us If You:
