Job summary

Meydenbauer Center, located in Bellevue, WA, seeks an experienced Event Manager to lead client engagement from lead to on-site execution. You will manage event details, coordinate with catering and staff, and drive sales objectives as part of a dynamic events team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years in event coordination, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Social Tables. Standard hours are Monday–Friday with event needs outside of regular hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Sales, Advertising or another related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in event coordination/planning, sales or a comparable position at a convention facility, hotel or other multi-use public assembly facility.
• One (1) year of computer experience involving the Microsoft Office Suite and Social Tables is required.
• Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages client's progress from lead status, booking, planning, and organizing, to onsite set-up and event execution.
• Maintains a positive and professional image and builds rapport with clients and prospective clients.
• Promptly follows up with sales contacts and leads.
• Contributes to the overall sales objective of Meydenbauer Center by achieving goals set forth by the Director of Sales & Marketing and Meydenbauer Center's marketing plan.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of Meydenbauer Center's capabilities and can match them to client needs.
• Conducts catering menu planning and works with catering staff to assist clients with information.
