WORK TYPE: Hybrid Schedule (M-TH In Office, Friday work from home)



LOCATION DETAILS: 3865 Produce Road, Louisville, KY



TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & trainings is required. Event travel will include overnight stays for events. Anticipate being available 2-3 weekend per month during event season should coverage be required.



HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Director of Operational Excellence or Logistics Supervisor. Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & trainings is required.


The Logistics Coordinator is an important member of our competition operations team, ultimately responsible for ensuring that competitions achieve goals in various areas of operational efficiencies. This person should be analytical, organized, and process driven.



WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Research, secure, and coordinate shipping and other logistics needs as directed.
  • Collaborate with event and production coordinators.
  • Source equipment and supplies (production, flooring, forklifts, etc)
  • Coordinate and execute storage and movement of inventory and supplies.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring event logistics operations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with venue logistics contacts.
  • Follow best practices as related to logistics.
  • Assist in the planning, logistics, delivery and unloading of mats for Varsity summer camp programs.
  • Organize equipment and stock pre and post event to ensure items are placed where they need to be throughout the warehouse space
  • Maintain inventory in an organized and accurate manner
  • Follow checklists to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in the management of all assets such as (buildings, equipment, insurance, etc).
  • Serves in a mid-level management and/or support role at events.
  • Maintain mats for events, whether camps or competitions
  • Transportation of mats to events, whether camps or competitions



QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of enter programs used to update music/presentations during events and any other required skillsets
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and attention to timelines.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience of at least 3 years in events preferred.
  • Operational, Warehouse, Logistics or comparable experience preferred.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands that are described as required are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • This job operates in a professional office, warehouse, and event environment. Role will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
  • During events the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (5 hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.
