Job summary

ITA Group seeks a seasoned Event Manager in West Des Moines, IA to coordinate travel and virtual event programs for key clients. You will lead the internal team supporting ITA Group’s incentives solution line and craft experiences that engage attendees.

The role requires strong organizational skills, budget awareness, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously across domestic and international scopes, with travel up to 25–30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Liberal Arts, PR, or Communications.
• 3 years’ event management experience or 2+ years in ITA Group’s Event Management division.
• Strong organizational and detail-management ability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and delegate.
• Excellent written and client presentation skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of client management.
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
• Experience preparing and assessing budgets and profitability.
• Experience negotiating in a business environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and proactive thinking.
• Ability to travel 25–30% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the operation of event travel and virtual event programs for specific clients.
• Serve as a leader for the internal team supporting ITA Group’s incentives solution line.
• Provide thought leadership and create custom-crafted experiences that engage and inspire attendees.
• Lead strategic teams for international and domestic events when needed.
• Manage simultaneous events in their entirety.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure deliverables are met, budgets are balanced, and client needs are anticipated and aligned with their vision.
• Optimize relationships with third-party suppliers.
• Work independently when required.
