Job summary

City of Austin seeks a Facilities Services team member to assist clients and visitors at the Palmer Events Center, handling move-in/move-out, monitoring entry points, and coordinating with the Event Coordinator on event changes and needs.

You will perform security and safety duties, monitor fire and security systems, and participate in emergency responses including evacuations, while upholding city policies and delivering quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree plus one year of public event experience or related field.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record as required.
• Knowledge of safety practices, local laws, and city policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with move-in and move-out activities and monitor access points.
• Coordinate with Event Coordinator on event status and special needs.
• Perform facility security, safety services, and emergency response.
• Monitor fire and security systems and coordinate evacuations if needed.
• Answer questions and provide courteous information to visitors and staff.
