Job summary

Gaylord Hotels at National Harbor is seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead the execution of all aspects of events, from planning through to exit strategies. You will liaise with operational departments to ensure flawless on-site delivery and a positive client experience.

Responsibilities include managing BEOs, updating clients on status, coordinating planning visits, and proactively resolving potential issues related to room setup and services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years in event management or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year of event management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of events from planning to exit strategies.
• Coordinate with operational departments to ensure on-site delivery.
• Prepare and review banquet event orders (BEOs) and event documents.
• Advise clients on event status and changes.
• Resolve issues proactively at planning visits and events.
• Ensure lighting, temperature, AV, and room set meet client expectations.
