Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Saint Paul, MN seeks an EMT-B level professional to provide BLS care at special events. The role requires 1 year of prehospital care experience, BLS certification, EMT-B MN EMSRB, and NREMT-B credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prehospital care experience.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• EMT-B certification with MN EMSRB license.
• Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Tech (NREMT-B).

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures, and standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service as outlined by HEMT and the event coordinator.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and care team members.
• Participate in improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and efficiency outcomes.
• Provide BLS care to patients during events as necessary.
• Assist ALS staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as deemed necessary.
• Move patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
• Document patient information in EHR or other electronic system per standards.
• Safely transfer care of patients to other care providers when appropriate.
• Remain in good standing with the HEMT office of the Medical Director.
• Meet minimum shifts throughout the year as set by leadership.
