Job summary

M Health Fairview Emergency Medical Services is seeking an EMT/Basic Life Support provider to join our EMS team on the East side of Saint Paul, MN. The role focuses on BLS transport during inter-facility transfers and 911 calls, with ongoing ALS training and dynamic skill development.

We require EMT-B certification (MN OEMS and NREMT) and a valid driver's license. This is a 1.0 FTE with day, evening, night, weekend and holiday rotations in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification is required.
• Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) certification from MN OEMS is required.
• EMT-B certification from the National Registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and standards.
• Participate in improvements to enhance clinical outcomes and service efficiency.
• Document patient information in the EHR per program standards.
• Safely transfer care to other providers in appropriate settings (LTC, hospital).
• Adapt care plans to the population's developmental level and cultural needs.
• Educate patients and families according to learning needs and readiness.
• Ensure safety and ethical standards in practice; support continuous improvement.
