Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to oversee operations across three restaurants. You will lead by example, train staff, and ensure excellent customer service while meeting budget objectives.

Responsibilities include directing staff, completing opening/closing checklists, and coordinating reservations with VIP requests. Part‑time benefits include employee discounts and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS systems.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and relate to staff, peers, and guests.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Strong communication skills; must speak/read/write English.
• Effective problem solving, organization, and time management.
• Good interpersonal skills; team player.
• Knowledge of table settings and dining room procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and staff across three restaurant locations.
• Lead by example and train employees in customer service excellence.
• Direct staff, open/close checklists, and meet budget objectives.
• Review daily reservation lists and coordinate table arrangements, staffing and food prep.
• Review VIP tables and special requests.
• Assist Operations Manager with supervising staff.

Education

At least one year of prior supervisory experience in a hospitality environment.

Experience in a table‑service restaurant preferred.
