Job summary

Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa is seeking a Bartender Supervisor to assist in supervising beverage operations from setup to breakdown. You will help ensure smooth bar service, manage staff, and support the Beverage Manager with training and inventory processes.

The role requires on-site work with availability for evenings and weekends, a strong focus on guest service, and solid bartending skills.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and available to work on-site as scheduled.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Proficient bartending and cocktail-mixing skills.
• Proficient computer experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS operating systems, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and relate to staff, peers, and clients.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Strong communication skills; must speak/read/write English.
• Ability to stay composed in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and execution of all beverage operations from set-up to breakdown.
• Support bartenders to maintain quick, efficient lines and exceptional service.
• Supervise staff according to the Beverage Manager's guidelines.
• Ensure adequate coverage for all bars and professional uniform standards.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing education of staff.
• Help create fair staff schedules and assist with monthly liquor inventory.
• Execute closing duties and prepare daily sales and management reports.
