Job summary

The Audio Visual Technician role at the Denver Art Museum supports programs, events, and meetings by setting up, operating, and striking audio-visual equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, deliver service-oriented experiences, and collaborate with the IT department to uphold museum policies.

We look for candidates with basic AV knowledge, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work on several events per month, all while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and real-world experience in using AV equipment in professional events.
• Strong understanding of signal flow in audio, video, and lighting systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot AV issues quickly and calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike AV systems for events.
• Troubleshoot common issues in AV environments.
• Provide friendly, service-oriented assistance to audience and clients.
• Coordinate with DAM policies and procedures to ensure security and smooth operation.
• Attend at least one event per month.
