Levy at Delta Center in Salt Lake City is seeking an Event Day Prep Cook to support the culinary team by preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and setting up kitchen stations for high-volume events. Ideal candidates are 18+, with prep cook or kitchen experience preferred; must follow recipes and food-safety standards; Utah Food Handler Permit or Food Safety Manager Certificate required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prep cook, kitchen, culinary, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic knife skills and food-preparation knowledge preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety standards accurately.
• Good organization, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with chefs, cooks, and kitchen team members.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry ingredients, pans, supplies, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy event environment.
• Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit or Food Safety Manager Certificate.

Responsibilities

• As an Event Day Prep Cook, you will support the Culinary team by preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, setting up kitchen stations, and helping ensure food is ready for service during high-volume events.
• This position plays an important role in keeping the kitchen organized, efficient, and prepared for successful game days and events.
