Job summary

Fooda is seeking a friendly and energetic part-time Events Associate in Abilene, TX to support on-site restaurant pop-ups and customer service during lunch hours. You’ll help set up, assist guests, and troubleshoot simple POS issues while gaining exposure to Fooda’s technology and operations.

Ideal candidates have catering or service experience, reliable transportation, and strong communication. Work hours roughly 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM with flexibility to extend.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, and clean equipment and site areas.
• Serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés.
• Coordinate access for restaurants to the building.
• Troubleshoot POS and onsite tech issues as needed.
• Conduct onsite promotions and coaching for the mobile app.
• Provide real-time customer service to resolve issues.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when needed.

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited,and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) getting restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday- Friday (9am – 2:30 pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part‑time job (about 27.5hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
