As a core business unit of LF, the Event Team (composed of 50+ event management, sales and marketing professionals) manages over 150 global events and conferences each year, ranging from 50 to 20k attendees. We host in-person, virtual and hybrid events.
We’re seeking a highly organized and results-driven Event Content Planner to join our Event Content team. In this role, you’ll work across our internal Linux Foundation and Event Services teams to produce dozens of global B2B conferences and events, including in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats. These events serve audiences ranging from 50 to 20,000+ attendees. Reporting to an Event Manager, you’ll take ownership of critical content and logistics tasks, collaborating with internal stakeholders, program committees, speakers, and sponsors to ensure exceptional event delivery.
What You Will Work On
Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace, WordPress, Adobe products, Sessionize, Asana, Sched.com, and Cvent. Strong aptitude for quickly learning and applying new software.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with meticulous attention to spelling, grammar, and detail.
Collaboration: Proven ability to build positive relationships with geographically dispersed stakeholders, including technical teams and executives.
Organization: Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and delivering under pressure.
Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a solution-oriented mindset.
Leadership: Self-motivated and dependable; a collaborative team player with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Flexibility: Availability for early morning/late evening calls across time zones. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 12 times per year.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods and lift/move up to 40 lbs.

Further Details
This position requires overnight and weekend travel to events, both domestically and internationally. The position is remote and open to applicants who can work North American time zone business hours.
Salary commensurate with experience: $65,000 - $80,000 USD.
