Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Catering/Events Coordinator for the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI. The role focuses on coordinating event details after sales handoffs and ensuring accurate communication to operations and hotel management.

This position requires strong project management ability, willingness to work extended hours, and coordination across departments. Knowledge of Delphi is a plus, and Microsoft 365 proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. College degree preferred.
• Able to use Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong multiple project management skills.
• Previous Delphi experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing.
• Ability to work under time pressures and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Create files for contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandums, Delphi management system updates, and other documents.
• Answer telephone and responds to caller inquiries.
• Exercise decision‑making skills to direct callers based on requests.
• Accurately records and distributes messages.
• Communicate with other hotel associates to relay pertinent sales related information.
• Organizes, files, distributes faxes, and other essential functions necessary in the daily department operation.
• Works in cooperation between Events Manager(s) and clients in Manager's absence.
• Performs supportive functions during the absence of other sales and catering assistants.
• Ability to assist in other departments when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
