Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Concessions Stand Lead for a part-time role at the NEW ORLEANS ERNEST N. MORIAL CONVENTION CENTER. The position requires supervising concession staff during events, ensuring fast, accurate service and guest satisfaction.

Open availability and event-based hours are common. A valid alcohol-service certification is required by law, plus a food handler cert may be needed by local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of concessions, food service, or customer service experience required.
• Prior lead experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to lead alcohol service based on local and state regulations.
• Must maintain a valid TIPS or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements.
• A food handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-stand lead for assigned concession locations during events.
• Provide guidance and support to staff during peak service periods.
• Address basic guest concerns and escalate issues to the Concessions Supervisor.
• Communicate operational needs, staffing issues, or supply shortages to leadership.
• Support onboarding and training of concession staff.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
