Job summary

Sodexo seeks a Concessions Worker for the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. This part-time position supports high-volume, event-based concessions operations, preparing, stocking, and serving food and beverages during live events.

The role requires prior concessions or customer service experience, age-appropriate alcohol service certification, and flexibility for varying shifts. Training and benefits are provided as part of Sodexo's programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in concessions, food service, or customer service is preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per local/state laws.
• Certification in alcohol management (TIPS/TEAM or equivalent) is required.
• Food Handler certification may be required depending on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and serve concession food and beverages according to recipes and procedures.
• Assist with opening/closing locations, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
• Operate basic equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers.
• Lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and communicate any schedule needs.

This role is specific to concessions environments and focuses on speed of service, product availability, cleanliness, and teamwork during live events. Concessions Workers play a critical role in ensuring concession stands are properly stocked, service-ready, and operating efficiently during peak periods.The Concessions Worker may work in permanent concession stands, portable or mobile locations, kiosks, autonomous retail stores or support areas. Service formats may include grab-and-go, made-to-order items, or pre-packaged food and beverage offerings.
