Job summary

Levy at American Airlines Center seeks a motivated, service-driven Culinary Supervisor to lead the Culinary Concessions team for events. This part-time, event-based leadership role duties include directing food-service staff and ensuring policy and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes training, waste reduction, and adherence to recipes and standards in a fast-paced arena environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service.
• Minimum 1 year of F&B, hotel/hospitality, club, or full-service restaurant experience.
• Valid ServSafe or state-approved Food Handler's certification.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and time management.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain focused in a loud and busy environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and follow recipes and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and serving temperatures.
• Operates and cleans equipment following department procedures.
• Stores, labels and dates food items and maintains storage rotations to minimize spoilage.
• Follows HACCP guidelines for quality and safety.
• Operates food-service equipment safely and per procedures.
• Helps serves meals and collects customer feedback during meal periods.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
