Job summary

Placements24 is seeking Catering Assistants to support event operations in East London. You will help with setup, serve guests, and assist with breakdown, ensuring smooth service and memorable experiences for clients and attendees.

We welcome reliable, team-oriented individuals who can communicate well, stay on their feet for long periods, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Training is provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a polite and efficient manner.
• Replenish buffet items and maintain cleanliness of service areas during events.
• Clear tables and manage post-event cleanup and breakdown.
• Follow instructions from supervisors regarding service standards and client needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
