Job summary

DineAmic Hospitality in Chicago is seeking an Events Captain for La Serre to lead on-site execution of private dining and events, translating BEOs into coordinated setup and service.

This hands-on role requires hospitality-driven leaders who communicate clearly, stay composed under pressure, and coordinate event staff with management and FOH/BOH partners. You may also cover regular server shifts as needed; prior banquet and high-volume restaurant experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years serving or banquet service in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to lead event execution and interpret BEOs and timelines.
• Knowledge of food, beverage, allergens, and steps-of-service.

Responsibilities

• Review BEOs, floor plans, menus, beverages, guest counts and timelines before service.
• Coordinate setup and verify room presentation, service stations, and equipment against the event plan.
• Lead pre-shift briefings, assign responsibilities and monitor timing and guest priorities.
• Set the pace for professional service and assist as needed during events.
• Coordinate event breakdown, closeout, and communicate damages or follow-up needs.
