Five Iron Golf in Chicago seeks an Event Captain to lead on-site execution for events of all sizes and ensure an elevated guest experience. You will manage spaces, timelines, and staff while coordinating with kitchen and sales teams to deliver premium events.

Responsibilities include handling contracts, inventory, and post-event follow-up, with nights and weekends required. Five Iron values inclusivity and exceptional hospitality across all locations.

• Manage simulators and event spaces according to contract requirements.
• Oversee event timelines for organized and timely activities.
• Train and coordinate staff to provide a premium event experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food meets customer expectations.
• Provide feedback to Sales to enhance return business.
• Purchase and manage event-related inventory.
• Support Event Sales Manager with administrative tasks.
• Attend weekly meetings to review banquet orders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create additional events and experiences.
• Contribute ideas for improving event experiences and increasing revenue.
• Check in with guests during visits and promptly address concerns.

The Event Captain at Five Iron ensures the team delivers an elevated experience for events of all sizes and delivers on the Five Iron promise of Best-in-Class Events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide an elevated event experience for all events by leading on-site execution of all events, handling guest greetings, space preparation, issue resolution, and financial closing.
• Ensure positive customer experiences and successful delivery of contracted services for events.
• Manage simulators and event spaces according to contract requirements.
• Oversee event timelines to ensure organized and timely activities.
• Train and coordinate with staff in various roles to provide a premium event experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food meets customer expectations.
• Provide feedback to the Sales team to enhance return business.
• Purchase and manage event-related inventory.
• Support Event Sales Manager with administrative tasks.
• Attend weekly meetings to review banquet event orders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create additional events and experiences
• Contribute ideas for improving event experiences and increasing revenue.
• Take pride in ensuring guests' enjoyment by actively checking in with them during their visit and promptly addressing any concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience in managing or coordinating events
• Passion for golf and an understanding of the game's rules are strongly encouraged
