Job summary

Beverage Supervisor at Sodexo oversees beverage service operations for events and daily functions, supervising bartenders and staff to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and guest satisfaction.

The role collaborates with management, culinary teams, and event leadership, supporting multiple service formats and ensuring beverage service aligns with event standards. Suitable for those with beverage supervision experience and TIPS/TEAM training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years beverage, bar, or food and beverage service experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience in beverage or event operations preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per local/state laws.
• Working knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and beverage operations.
• TIPS or TEAM alcohol training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision of beverage service operations during events and assigned shifts.
• Assign staff to beverage stations, bars, or service areas and adjust assignments as needed during events.
• Conduct pre-event or pre-shift meetings to review event details, beverage menus, service expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Support training and onboarding of beverage staff during service as needed.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
