Job summary

Proof of the Pudding at Circuit of The Americas is seeking Hospitality Bartenders to join the Premium team for world-class events in Austin, TX. Responsibilities include inventory, making simple beverages, and maintaining bar cleanliness during shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years bartending experience, TIPs/TEAM certification (or training provided), and a proven ability to deliver upscale/VIP service in a fast-paced setting, with availability for the Grand Prix F1 Race Oct 18–20 strongly

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of bartending experience.
  • TIPs/TEAM certification required or will provide training.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
  • Availability for Grand Prix F1 Race October 18-20 is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and breakdown bar areas.
  • Set bar up in a timely manner, including icing down product.
  • Communicate with bar back for replenishment during shift.
  • Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Attend to guests’ needs throughout the event.
  • Clean bar after closing and record closing inventory.
  • Return all inventory as directed.
  • Follow all beverage policies and venue rules.

Job description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and LiveNation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

Proof of the Pudding, operator of COTA Catering, is seeking Hospitality Bartenders to join the Premium team. Hospitality Bartenders are responsible for product inventory, making simple beverages, following policies, and bar clean up post event. Work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of the event calendar.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for both pre & pre bar set-up/breakdown responsibilities.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner, including icing down product.
  • Communicates well with bar back personnel during the event to assist them with replenishment during shift (if applicable).
  • Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
  • Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
  • Record closing inventory
  • Responsible for putting away all inventory as directed.
  • Follows all federal, local, and venue alcohol policies.
Qualifications
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Education And/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of bartending experience
  • Must be TIPs/TEAM certified (will accept Team certification or will provide training).
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
  • Availability for the Grand Prix F1 Race October 18-20 is strongly preferred

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will work out of and report to Circuit of the Americas. Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position will often move throughout the grounds and venue on different terrains.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30 pounds.
