Job description

Proof of the Pudding, the food service provider for the Kansas City Monarchs, is looking for Bartenders.

Location: Legends Field – Kansas City, KS66111.

This is seasonal/part‑time work. Business needs are dictated by athletic events and special events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for both pre & post bar setup and breakdown.
• Sets bar up in a timely manner.
• Communicates well with bar back during events to assist with replenishment during shift.
• Greets all guests and provides exceptional customer service.
• Attentive to guests’ needs throughout the entire event.
• Cleans bar after closing, discarding excess ice.
• Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received.
• Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of bartending experience.
• Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
• Must be experienced in preparing mixed drinks.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Tips must be certified (will accept similar accredited certifications).
• Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
• Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
• Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
• City of Beloit Bartender’s License.
• Live within or near Kansas City, KS.

Specialized Qualifications

• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting approximately 40 lbs.
• Renowned time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills with desire to go above and beyond client’s needs.
• Can work alone and as a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment for this position will be event operations at Legends Field.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

Adherence to company uniform requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook and orientation guidelines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout large spaces, bars, storage rooms, and suites.
• Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying equipment and food items.
• Must be able to lift approximately 30+ lbs.
• Basic reading and math skills.
