Job summary

Greenawalt Hospitality is seeking dependable Event Bartenders to join our Alabama event team. You will prepare and serve beverages, interact with guests, and support beverage operations from setup to breakdown at concerts, festivals, weddings and other events.

Applicants should be 21+, have strong communication, be able to stand long hours, and obtain ServSafe Alcohol certification. Flexible evenings and weekends required; mileage reimbursement may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks per company procedures and regulations.
• Check IDs and follow responsible alcohol-service practices.
• Maintain beverage quality and presentation.
• Take and fulfill guest orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide friendly service during high-volume periods.
• Keep the service area clean, stocked, and presentable.
• Help prepare beverage stations before guests arrive.
• Stock supplies and monitor inventory during service.
• Assist with bar/ beverage station organization.
• Participate in closing procedures and cleanup.
• Welcome guests and provide courteous service.
• Coordinate with Bar Leads, Event Managers, and staff.
• Be flexible to assist outside the beverage station as needed.
• Follow ServSafe Alcohol certification requirements and safety rules.

Job Summary

Greenawalt Hospitality is looking for dependable, outgoing Event Bartenders to join our growing event team. This position supports beverage operations at a variety of live events, including concerts, festivals, sporting events, weddings, private celebrations, and premium hospitality functions throughout Alabama.

Event Bartenders play an important role in the guest experience. You'll help prepare and serve beverages, maintain organized service areas, interact with guests, and support the team in keeping beverage operations running smoothly from setup through breakdown.

Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage Service

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company procedures and applicable regulations
• Check guest identification and follow responsible alcohol-service practices
• Maintain consistent beverage quality and professional presentation
• Take and fulfill guest orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide friendly, attentive service even during high-volume periods
• Keep the service area clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the event

Bar Setup & Daily Operations

• Help prepare beverage stations before guests arrive
• Stock products, ice, mixers, garnishes, cups, and other necessary supplies
• Monitor supplies throughout service and communicate replenishment needs
• Assist with maintaining an efficient and organized bar or beverage station
• Participate in closing procedures, cleanup, equipment breakdown, and storage following each event

Guest Service

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional beverage service
• Help create an enjoyable and positive atmosphere in event hospitality areas
• Respond to questions about beverage selections, menus, and available services
• Address guest concerns respectfully and involve a supervisor when additional assistance is needed
• Represent Greenawalt Hospitality positively while interacting with guests, clients, venue personnel, and coworkers

Event Team Support

• Coordinate with Bar Leads, Event Managers, and other event staff throughout each deployment
• Assist with general event setup and teardown when operationally necessary
• Adjust to changes in event schedules, guest volume, staffing, and service requirements
• Help the team successfully deliver beverage and hospitality services at a variety of event types
• Be willing to assist outside the beverage station when additional event support is needed

Professional Standards & Compliance

• Complete required company orientation, training, and onboarding
• Obtain and maintain ServSafe Alcohol Certification through the company
• Follow applicable alcohol laws, venue rules, company procedures, and safety requirements
• Maintain a dependable, professional, and team-oriented approach at every event
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accountability while representing the company

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in bartending, restaurants, catering, hospitality, beverage service, or a related field
• Experience working live events, festivals, concerts, sporting events, weddings, or entertainment venues
• Current ServSafe Alcohol Certification or willingness to complete certification
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash transactions, and standard beverage-service practices
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks during busy service
• Friendly, dependable attitude with a genuine interest in hospitality and teamwork

Compensation

$12.00 per hour, plus opportunities for tips and gratuities.

Mileage and travel reimbursement may be available for certain qualifying events.
