Job summary

Greenawalt Hospitality is seeking experienced Event Bar Leads to oversee beverage service at live events in Auburn, AL. This working leadership role requires hands-on bartending while directing the bar team to ensure smooth beverage operations.

You will stay involved behind the bar, guide staff, and uphold service standards, safety, and guest satisfaction throughout each event.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Previous bartending experience required.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays and changing event schedules.
• Dependable transportation to assigned event locations.
• Strong communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in busy, fast-moving event environments.
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards and applicable regulations.
• Help lead bartenders, bar-backs, and other beverage staff during assigned events.
• Reinforce responsible alcohol service practices throughout each shift.
• Set the example for quality drinks, professional service, and positive guest interactions.
• Step in wherever needed to keep beverage service moving during busy periods.
• Oversee end-of-event bar cleanup, breakdown, and equipment return.
• Provide direction and hands-on support to bartenders and event staff.
• Help onboard and train new team members on beverage service and company expectations.
• Work closely with Event Managers to address staffing, service, and operational needs.

Job Summary

Greenawalt Hospitality is looking for experienced and dependable Event Bar Leads to help oversee beverage service during live events. This position combines hands-on bartending with team leadership, guest service, and event operations.

This is a working leadership role. Event Bar Leads are expected to stay involved behind the bar while helping direct their team, keeping service organized, and making sure beverage operations run smoothly throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards and applicable regulations

Help lead bartenders, bar-backs, and other beverage staff during assigned events

Reinforce responsible alcohol service practices throughout each shift

Set the example for quality drinks, professional service, and positive guest interactions

Step in wherever needed to keep beverage service moving during busy periods

Bar Operations

Help organize, stock, and prepare bar stations before guests arrive

Keep bar areas supplied with beverages, ice, mixers, garnishes, and other service items

Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to Event Managers

Help maintain an organized and efficient service environment throughout the event

Oversee end-of-event bar cleanup, breakdown, and equipment return

Guest Experience

Provide friendly and professional service to guests, clients, and venue representatives

Address guest questions and concerns calmly and appropriately

Help maintain an upbeat, welcoming environment while keeping service efficient

Represent Greenawalt Hospitality positively and professionally throughout every event

Team Support & Event Operations

Provide direction and hands‑on support to bartenders and event staff

Help onboard and train new team members on beverage service and company expectations

Work closely with Event Managers to address staffing, service, and operational needs

Assist with event setup, teardown, and other event responsibilities when needed

Help identify and resolve issues before they affect guest service

Professional Standards & Compliance

Complete required company onboarding and leadership training

Obtain and maintain ServSafe Alcohol certification through the company

Follow alcohol service laws, venue policies, company procedures, and safety requirements

Maintain dependable attendance, strong communication, and professional conduct

Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and help hold the team to company standards

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older

Previous bartending experience required

Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and changing event schedules

Dependable transportation to assigned event locations

Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills

Comfortable working in busy, fast-moving event environments

Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods

Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 30 pounds

Consistent access to a phone, text messaging, and email for scheduling and event communication

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a lead bartender, bar supervisor, shift lead, or event supervisor

Background working concerts, festivals, weddings, sporting events, or entertainment venues

ServSafe Alcohol, TIPS, or similar responsible‑service certification

Experience using POS systems and handling cash or card transactions

Familiarity with beverage inventory and bar setup procedures

Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities

Enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing great hospitality

Compensation

$15.00 per hour, plus opportunities for tips and gratuities.

Mileage and travel reimbursement may be available for certain qualifying events.
