Highgate Hotels in Key West is seeking a Banquet Server to set up and serve food and beverages at banquet functions, ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will read BEOs, manage service steps, and maintain a clean banquet area while upholding hotel standards and delivering friendly, professional service. This role requires standing, flexibility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented demeanor.
• Must be proactive in anticipating guest or operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and serve food and beverages at banquet functions per hotel standards.
• Read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and menus for assigned functions.
• Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Address guest problems or complaints and escalate to management when needed.
• Set tables according to hotel standards and maintain banquet storeroom.
• Clean up banquet space after events and store/restock equipment and supplies.
• Prepare rooms per BEO and meal functions.
• Adhere to money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Know menu items for each function and describe them accurately.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and assist as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
