Ideal candidates bring prior banquet or hospitality experience, strong communication, and a willingness to work weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet operations or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests and staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• ServSafe or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and serve beverages and food per specifications.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Greet guests and assist seating.
• Take and retrieve beverage orders and upsell when appropriate.
• Serve all courses and beverages to guests per standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
• Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the station.
• Other duties as assigned.
