Job summary

Valley Hospitality in Columbus, GA is looking for a friendly banquet server to provide outstanding service at banquets, conventions, conferences, meetings, and events. You will assist with setup, place tables and decorations, and prepare serving stations while ensuring guests are greeted warmly.

You must be detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication, understand event menus and service styles, and maintain stocked and appealing buffets and dining areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong written/verbal communication.
• Basic mathematical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, decorations, and serving stations.
• Greet guests and check on satisfaction.
• Know event organization and menus/service style for each event.
• Serve guests with food/beverage, keep tables/buffets stocked and appealing.
• Pre-bus tables by removing soiled dishes after each course.
• Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen per standards.
• Perform setup and closing duties per staff assignments and checklist.
• Comply with uniform and grooming standards.
• Act as a team player and resolve guest issues professionally.
• Attend required meetings/trainings by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
