Job summary

Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa in San Diego seeks a Banquet Captain to lead banquet and catering functions. You will direct banquet associates, ensure events run per BEOs, service standards, and guest expectations, and coordinate with culinary, AV, and catering teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant hospitality experience, weekend/holiday availability, and the ability to lead a team with a hands-on approach. Training and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant experience in hospitality or catering.
• Experience leading banquet teams and events preferred.
• Customer service experience in a hotel or upscale setting is required.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reviews BEOs and event details to ensure readiness and guest satisfaction.
• Directs Banquet Servers, Bartenders, and other staff during events.
• Oversees banquet service, timing, and setup from start to finish.
• Communicates changes and handles guest requests or issues.
