Encore is seeking an on-site Rigging Technician in Nashville to perform and supervise rigging activities for hospitality and convention center events, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs. Team coordination and gear inspection are essential.

The role emphasizes equipment setup, point hangings, and collaboration with other trades, with a focus on maintaining safe operations throughout events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 500+ hours of onsite rigging experience.
• Qualified-Basic Rigging certification.
• Lift Certification.
• Lift operation experience.
• Ground Rigging experience.
• High rigging with harness experience.
• Previous supervision of a rigging team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging activities in a hospitality or convention center setting with emphasis on safety and quality per Encore guidelines.
• Establish hang-points, connect hoists and attachments, and ensure proper rigging of all elements.
• Provide ground rigging support and assist teams with lifting movements and equipment handling.
• Inspect hardware, cables, and trusses; report and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Secure and review advanced rigging plans with Rigging Coordinator/Lead Rigger.
• Maintain ongoing visual inspection of hardware and escalate issues to supervisor.
