Job summary

GuideWell events team seeks an Event Assistant to deliver clerical and administrative support for Center operations. You will assist with event preparation, handle mail and filing, and ensure smooth communications on behalf of the brand.

Magnit acts as MSP/EOR for temporary assignments with GuideWell and Florida Blue. The role emphasizes hospitality experience, office equipment proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and VIP guests.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 6+ months of related work experience in hospitality.
  • Experience using standard office equipment.
  • Ability to handle routine reports and correspondence.
  • Contract opportunity with potential conversion to permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities and execute details to prepare for and implement Center events for internal and retail clients.
  • Represent the GuideWell brand by interacting with management and VIP guests.
  • Operate office equipment and answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.
  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing and similar systems.
  • Open, sort, route incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mail.
  • May compile, compute, record and proofread data and other information.
  • Develop feasible plans that achieve the department's mission and values.

Job description

This is a contract opportunity. You will be employed by Magnit to work on assignment with GuideWell and subsidiary companies including Florida Blue.

This is a possible Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

  • The GWI Event Assistant provides general clerical and administrative support to the Center Operations area by operating standard office equipment, maintaining filing and records systems and preparing material such as routine reports and correspondence. Incumbent will provide support for events and works closely with the Events Manager.
  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinates activities and executes details required to prepare for and implement Center events for internal and retail clients.
  • Represent the GuideWell brand by interacting with all levels of management and VIP guests.
  • Operate office equipment, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers.
  • Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.
  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing and similar systems.
  • Communicate with others to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints. Conduct basic research to answer questions.

Education

  • HS Diploma/GED

Additional Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of related work experience in hospitality
  • Experience working with standard office equipment
  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
