Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Associate to ensure accurate patient registration, verify coverage, and provide compassionate service at the on-site hospital location.

This role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year of customer service experience, and HFMA CRCR certification within 9 months; shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 3pm–11pm, with holiday coverage, plus opportunities for tuition reimbursement and certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• HFMA CRCR certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and perform medical necessity/compliance checks while delivering excellent customer service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service.
• Meet point of service goals as assigned.
• Use quality auditing and reporting systems to correct accounts.
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographic/insurance information.
• Explain consent forms and obtain signatures and witness names.
• Distribute patient education documents (e.g., Medicare/Tricare notices, forms).
• Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and inform Medicare patients of potential non-payment.
