Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff across all facilities. You will respond to emergencies, conduct patrols, monitor security systems, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.

This role requires strong written and verbal communication, situational awareness, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Training includes use of security tools and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to write clear incident reports.
• Physical fitness and ability to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Responds to security emergencies and alarms.
• Patrols and secures hospital properties and escorts staff/patients.
• Intervenes per procedures; detains offenders per policy; enforces rules.
• Coordinates drills and works with law enforcement when needed.
• Monitors security systems and maintains logs and incident reports.
