Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the evening shift (3pm–11:30pm), 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) with every other weekend. Starting pay is $36.90 per hour, with potential increases based on experience; benefits are eligible.

As a nurse on this unit, you will provide family-centered care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators, and Allied Health staff.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required; willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs.
• Communicates patient care needs and priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
