Responsibilities include optimizing dispatcher logic, coordinating transportation across departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring staff, with a focus on budget stewardship.

Qualified candidates will have hospital management experience, analytical skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Management experience in hospital environment and/or patient transportation.
• Analytical ability to interpret statistical data and distinguish trends that impact operations.
• Basic computer skills with Windows-based systems; troubleshoot system problems.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Patient Flow Coordinators and Transporters in a hospital setting.
• Develops dispatcher logic and coordinates transporter activities; monitors dispatch operations.
• Coordinates Transportation with other departments; helps develop service agreements as appropriate.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, CDC).
• Trains and develops staff at all levels (dispatchers, trainers, transporters, drivers, etc.).
• Supports financial objectives, helps manage budget and control expenses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
