Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required.
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW).
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity tests accurately and reports results promptly.
• Adheres to quality control procedures, analyzes data, and resolves out-of-range results.
• Conducts instrument checks and preventive maintenance per policy.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and Laboratory Safety Plan.
• Communicates results and issues with peers, supervisors, and staff.
• Assists with proficiency testing and data collection for regulatory needs.
• Collects chain-of-custody urine drug screens and performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Collaborates with team to complete shift duties efficiently.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with all policies.
