Tennova Healthcare- Jefferson Memorial Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead to coordinate and oversee quality laboratory operations within an assigned section. The role ensures testing accuracy, QC, regulatory compliance, equipment maintenance, and staff competency.

You will serve as a technical resource, lead competency assessments, train staff, manage workflow and staffing, and communicate instrument issues and regulatory updates to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical lab required.
• 0–2 years leadership, training, or quality management experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs, verifies, and reports moderate and high‑complexity lab tests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversees daily laboratory operations including workflow, supply inventory, and staffing coordination.
• Monitors quality control measures, resolves discrepancies, and ensures proficiency testing is completed on time.
• Conducts competency assessments and provides ongoing staff training and mentorship.
• Ensures equipment is properly maintained and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
• Supports accreditation readiness and manages LIS/EMR data entry and reporting.
• Assists with phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
