Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN, is hiring a Medical Technologist for full-time evening coverage (3p-11p or 11p-11a). You will perform laborator y testing, prepare specimens, and analyze results while following standardized procedures.

The role emphasizes accuracy, QA, and teamwork in a supportive hospital setting. Applicants should hold ASCP/AMT or Tennessee license; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth through education and certification

• Applicants must have either an ASCP, AMT, or Tennessee State License.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing.
• Collects samples and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities.
• Collects blood and study blood samples used in transfusions
• Operates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.
• Analyses test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards.
• Performs automated tests using computerized instruments & automated equipment.
• Runs tests and analyzes the results to be reported to the physician or registered nurse.
• Performs Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment.
