Job summary

St. Croix Health seeks a part-time Environmental Services Aide to join our team. The role is scheduled from 2:30 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m., including every other weekend and a rotating holiday schedule. The position maintains a safe, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing care environment, with contact with patients, visitors and staff. Essential duties include cleaning all assigned areas, following infection prevention guidelines, restocking supplies, and operating department equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: Knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools and techniques in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Ability to understand instructions and learn new work methods.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all assigned areas throughout the facility.
• Adheres to safety, risk management and infection control guidelines; promotes a culture of safety.
• Delivers clean linen to appropriate areas; monitors and replenishes inventory.
• Removes waste and transport to appropriate area; identifies proper waste handling method.
• Dispose of hazardous materials as required.
• Maintain department standards and assist with survey readiness.
