Advocate Health seeks a part-time Environmental Services worker for 21 hours per week, 5:00pm-11:00pm, every other weekend. Location is Wisconsin facility. No formal education required and no experience needed.

Pay range is $18.85–$28.30 per hour. Responsibilities include cleaning patient care areas, restrooms, and common areas; handling linens; and following infection control guidelines. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and operate cleaning equipment; strong customer service and ability to

Qualifications

• Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions and communicate with others.
• Ability to work alone and to understand the physical arrangements of the facilities.
• Performs tasks without disrupting operations of doctors, nurses, patients, public, and other staff.
• Ability to set priorities, follow department policies and procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators, and stairwells.
• Cleans environmental surfaces including ceilings, vents, walls, doors, furniture, beds, and windows; assists with spills.
• Dusts and damp mops floors in patient areas and corridors.
• Replaces cubicle and window coverings.
• Gathers and disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste according to guidelines.
• Sorts, stocks and delivers linens and prepares soiled linen for transport.
• Cleans and prepares units and equipment used in patient care and distributes supplies.
• Fills and cleans supply dispensers.
• Inventories linens and cleaning supplies; orders items as needed.
• Reports mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
