Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad is seeking a part-time Youth Program Assistant to support after-school activities at our High Point site. You will promote participation, guide members, and help lead a variety of Club programs for ages 6–17, with afternoon and early-evening hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year working with youth, strong communication and organizational skills, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred in youth development or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth in a program, camp, school, or community setting.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with youth ages 6–17, particularly those identified as higher risk.
• Passion for working in behavioral health, youth development, and character education.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track participation and program outcomes.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and maintain discipline in a group setting while fostering a supportive, positive atmosphere.
• Clean drivers record required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and Stimulate program participation.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Lead a variety of Club activities and programs.
• Participate in fun in-service training.
• Participate in special programs and/or events.
• Help young people prepare for their futures.
• May be required to drive for Club Activities periodically.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
