Alabama Clinical Schools in the Birmingham area is hiring a Mental Health Associate for the Bessemer Group Home on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekend hours. This role focuses on providing direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, helping ensure safety and well-being in a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or related mental health field preferred.
• Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills; able to safely monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention.
• Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
• Must be 19 years or older and pass drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders to ensure safety and well-being.
