Job summary

Alabama Clinical Schools in Birmingham is seeking a Mental Health Associate to provide direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, ensuring safety and wellbeing on the unit. You will support daily activities, facilitate groups, and assist with crisis intervention under supervision.

The role requires compassion, strong documentation, and adherence to therapeutic approaches in a residential setting. Located in a secure campus, you’ll join a team dedicated to enriching youth and families

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in related mental health field preferred.
• Must be 19 years or older and pass drug screen and background check.
• Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders to ensure safety and well-being.
• Primary responsibility for safety on the unit using a therapeutic approach; assist with daily activities, facilitate groups and other duties as assigned.
