Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder for our Fire Fabrication shop. You will operate a universal welder to weld and cut steel pipe, following blueprints and specifications.

The role requires 4+ years of welding experience and the ability to read tape measures, with potential pipe welding certificates as a plus. Qualifications

• 4+ years of welding experience.
• Read a tape measure.
• Pipe welding and welding certificates a plus.
• Be dependable and have good attendance.
• Must be able to communicate ideas clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings
• Take measurements to plan layouts
• Set up welding machine according to specifications
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Test all machine welds to ensure quality
• Weld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die test
• Other duties as assigned
