Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder for our Fire Fabrication shop. You will operate a universal welder to perform cuts and welds on steel pipe, following blueprints and specifications to ensure quality and safety.

The role requires 4+ years of welding experience, the ability to read measurements, and a dependable work ethic. Physical stamina and willingness to work Saturdays are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of welding experience required.
• Read a tape measure and interpret blueprints.
• Welding certificates are a plus.
• Must be dependable with good attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Capable of standing 8–12 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements to plan layouts.
• Set up welding machine per specs.
• Weld components using semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment ensuring safety and quality.
• Test welded joints for quality.
• Weld leaks found during tests.
• Other duties as assigned.
